Terms & Conditions

These terms and conditions apply apply to the use of this website and by accessing this website and/or placing an order you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions set out here. If you do not agree to be bound by these terms and conditions you may not use or access this website. Please read the terms and conditions carefully. They do not affect your statutory rights.  These terms and conditions and all transactions relating to this website are governed by English law and are subject to the non–exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts. We do not accept amendments to these terms and conditions.  These terms and conditions only cover the Trailjunkies website. Any other websites which are linked to from this site are governed by their own terms and conditions. We accept no responsibility or liability for the content or operation of websites, which are not under our control. We are required by law to tell you that sales can be concluded in English only and that no public filing requirements apply.

Any reference to Trailjunkies/company/we/us/our shall mean Trailjunkies Mountain Bike Centre Ltd trading as Trailjunkies, who sell or supply bicycles and bicycle equipment, clothing and accessories in the course of their trade or business.  Any reference to you/buyer/purchaser shall mean any person, sole trader, partnership, body corporate or other entity detailed in the appropriate section of the sales invoive/order form and shall include all successors, heirs and assigns.

The contract between us

Any contract for purchases made through the website will be with Trailjunkies. Trailjunkies must receive payment of the whole of the price for the goods that you order before your order can be accepted, and the contract formed. Once payment has been received Trailjunkies will confirm that your order has been received by sending an email to you at the email address you provide in your registration form. The shipment email will include your name, the order number and the total price. Trailjunkies’s acceptance of your order brings into existence a legally binding contract between us on these terms. Any term sought to be imposed by you in your order will not form part of the contract.

Trailjunkies is entitled to withdraw from any contract in the case of obvious errors or inaccuracies regarding the goods appearing on our website. If an error or inaccuracy is discovered with regards to the advertised price of the goods that you have ordered, we will contact you as soon as possible by e-mail. This will be to inform you of the correct price of the goods, and to ask you if you wish to continue with the order at the amended price, or to cancel the order altogether.

Making an order

While browsing through our products, click on any items that you wish to purchase and put them in the shopping cart. After you have chosen all the products that you wish to buy, click on "checkout" and you will be taken through a series of steps to enable payment and delivery of your order.

Ordering a bike or frame

Trailjunkies have their own Park Tools workshop staffed by Cytech accredited mechanics who will assemble, check and give your bike a short test ride before delivering it to you to make sure that everything is working properly.  For this reason, delivery of bikes may take 2-3 working days. Frames are checked but will be untouched unless specified by you.

Assembly of accessories or upgraded components

Trailjunkies can assemble any accessories or upgraded components that you order from us for your bike, free of charge.  Please note that once fitted, any accessories or components are no longer new and in a saleable condition so you will not be able to return them to us unless they are faulty or incorrectly supplied.  A  bike fitted with different components will also not be able to be returned for a refund.  Where components are upgraded, we will send you the parts removed but can not credit you for them as they are no longer in a new condition.

Custom built bikes

If you want to order a fully custom built bike, we will custom build it for you and fit any accessories, ordered from us, free of charge if you request us to do so - please phone us on 01491 871721.  As with standard bikes, your bike will be fully assembled, checked and given a short test ride by a Cytech accredited mechanic, to make sure that everything is working properly before we despatch it to you.  A mechanic will contact you to check your inside leg and height measurements to adjust the bike for optimal fit.  If you specify components that won't work together or if you have forgotten ab=nything this will also be discussed with you.

Once it has been assembled, your custom built bike can only be returned if it is faulty because the individual components will have been fitted and will not therefore be in a re-saleable conditon. 

Home assembly of bikes

All bikes will have been fully assembled and adjusted by a Cytech accredited mechanic before shipment.  When your bike arrives, you just need to put in the seat post, attach the pedals and fit the bars.  Full instructions will be sent.  Please ensure that you are happy with the bike and that the size is correct before riding it as bikes must be new and un-ridden to satisfy our returns policy unless there is a fault.

Please ask for help from a qualified mechanic if you are in any way unsure about assembling the bike.

All guarantees for products are provided by the manufactureres or UK importers and are subject to terms contained therein.  You are reminded to complete all warranty cards/documents upon receipt of goods where appropriate.

Prices are given on the assumption that no variation in price will be made by the manufacturer/UK importer and that Government levies remain unaltered.  In the event of such changes, orders placed before the variation will remain the same price and no further increases will be passed to the customer. 

Except as expressly stated in this website and, except for liability for death or personal injury to the extent only that it is caused by or arises from the negligence of Trailjunkies and to the fullest extent permitted by law, neither Trailjunkies nor any of its directors, employees, affiliates or other representatives will be liable for damages of any kind, including (without limitation) compensatory, direct, indirect or consequential damages being consequential damages not within the contemplation of the parties at the time the contract was made, loss of data, income or profit, loss or damage to property and claims of third parties arising out of or in connection with the use of this website or the information, content, materials or products included on this website.

We try to ensure that the content of such articles are relevant to our customers but we are not responsible for the accuracy of the content or views expressed within this third party content. We may also provide links to other websites or resources for you to access at your sole discretion. We are not responsible for the availability of external sites or resources, and do not review or endorse and are not responsible or liable, directly or indirectly for the privacy practices of such websites, the content of such websites or the use to which others make of these websites or resources, nor for any damage, loss or offence caused by the use of or reliance on any such content, products or services on such external websites or resources.

Availability of goods you order

If Trailjunkies has insufficient stock to deliver the goods ordered by you, we will notify you as soon as possible and any sum debited by Trailjunkies from your credit card will be re-credited to your account and Trailjunkies will notify you by email at the address given by you in your order form. The refund will be made as soon as possible and in any event within 30 days of your order. Trailjunkies will not be obliged to offer any additional compensation for disappointment suffered.

Please note: we endeavour to bring our customers the best value we can by running special offers, but please remember stocks are limited at the special offer price, and subject to availability. We update our website as quickly as we can to minimise disappointment. 

Changes to this agreement

Trailjunkies reserves the right to make changes to our site, policies, and these terms and conditions at any time. If any of these conditions shall be deemed invalid, void, or for any reason unforeseen, that condition shall be deemed severable and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining condition.
