Delivery & Returns

Delivery


Delivery can be to any address as long the address at which your payment card is registered is also present on your order.  Please make sure you keep the receipt enclosed with your goods.  The contents of your order and your delivery postcode area will determine which delivery services you will be offered. We do not deliver to Post Office (P.O.) boxes or shipping agent addresses. Delivery will be between the hours of 7am and 6pm; we are unable to confirm a time. Trailjunkies will select the most appropriate carrier for your goods. This means your delivery may arrive in more than one batch to ensure your order is transported in the best possible way. The risk in the goods shall pass from the company to the customer upon delivery of such goods to the customer. 

Force Majeure

Trailjunkies shall have no liability to you for any failure to deliver goods you have ordered or any delay in doing so or for any damage or defect to goods delivered that is caused by any event or circumstance beyond its reasonable control such as industrial disputes, riots, civil commotion, flood, fire and legislation.

What are Trailjunkies delivery charges?

Delivery charges in Mainland UK including VAT are as follows: 

Standard delivery of items under £75……… £3.95 
Standard delivery of items over £75……… ...Free
Next Day delivery for items under £75……… £10*
Next Day delivery for items over £75……...… £5*

There is also the option to collect your purchases from our shop and thus avoid delivery charges- please contact us on 01491 871721 if this is your preferred option, to arrange a suitable time.

*Next working day delivery is available on products (except bikes, as these need to be built and checked prior to shipping), providing that they are in stock. We will notify you immediately if we cannot provide a next day delivery. In order to secure a next day delivery you will need to select the next day delivery option at the chekout and we will need to receive the order by 1pm.

Saturday deliveries are available, but please contact us by phone - 01491 871721- if this is required. You will be advised of additional charges that may apply to a Saturday delivery.

How long will it take for my goods to be delivered?

We aim to deliver within 2-4 working days on all orders received before 4pm by Royal Mail or TNT courier service (unless you have opted for a Next Day delivery). Generally, most orders are dispatched much sooner.   If we are out of stock we are generally able to obtain new supplies within very short timescales.

Bikes need to be built and checked prior to shipping. For bikes which are not customised, delivery by courier will usually take 2-3 days from receipt of your order.  Custom-built bikes or wheels will take longer - we aim to deliver within 10-14 working days.. We will contact you as soon as we receive your order to confirm delivery.

Whilst every reasonable effort shall be made to keep to any delivery date, time of delivery shall not be of the essence and Trailjunkies shall not be liable for any losses, costs, damages or expenses incurred by the customer or any other person or company arising directly or indirectly out of any failure to meet any estimated delivery date.

Who will deliver my goods?

We use either Royal Mail or TNT courier service to deliver our goods.  Generally, bikes, frames and  items weighing over 10kg will be delivered by TNT.  For Royal Mail, where items require signing for upon delivery (all items over £50.00 and all Next Day deliveries), it may be necessary for you to collect the item from the nearest postal depot.  All TNT items require signing for on delivery and they will make 3 attempts to deliver on 3 consecutive days.  After a 3rd failed delivery, items will be returned to Trailjunkies and we reserve the right to charge for costs incurred.  Please note that while it is possible to record some delivery instructions at the checkout, these instructions can only be followed where deliveries are made by courier - this mainly applies to bikes and frames.

What do I do if I need to contact you about a delivery?

What if a product is out of stock?

Trailjunkies tries very hard to ensure that the products featured on this website are always in stock or we indicate where this is not the case.  However, despite our best endeavours, some items may be temporarily unavailable due to either production difficuties or unexpected demand. If this is the case, you will be informed as to the expected delay, and given the opportunity to wait for the goods ordered to arrive, to cancel the order or to order the nearest possible alternative.

How do I return goods and obtain refunds?

Item Not Required:

We aim to provide you with as much information as we can about each product so that you can make an informed purchasing decision and our customer service advisors are always willing to discuss your requirements over the telephone (01491 871721) prior to purchase. However, to give you additional confidence, we will allow you to return your item at your cost if it is not what you require within 14 days of receipt as long as it has not been used and is returned in its original packaging with labels still attached. However, this does not apply to items which have been supplied to your customised requirements (custom-built bikes, custom built wheels or bikes assembled with upgraded components).

All you need to do is contact us on 01491 871721and we will explain our simple Returns Procedures and discuss with you the easiest and most convenient way for you to return the item(s) to us. Unfortunately, we cannot accept proof of posting as confirmation of delivery.

Upon receipt of the item(s) we will refund the full value of the item(s) subject to them being unused and in their original condition and packaging.

Item damaged, faulty or incorrectly supplied:

If an item has been incorrectly supplied, all you need to do is follow the Returns Procedures detailed above.  For faulty or damaged goods, a full manufacturers warranty generally covers manufacturing faults and defects but does not cover damage caused by general wear and tear, abuse or crashing.  Due to health and safety regulations, goods must be returned clean - clothing must be washed and bike parts must not be covered in dirt or oil.

Please note that faulty or damaged items may need to be inspected by our suppliers for possible repair, before we can issue a credit.

Who pays for postage on returns?

We will pay postage up to £25.00 on incorrectly supplied, faulty or damaged items - contact us if postage is above £25.00 so that we can arrange collection.

You pay postage on returned items that are cancelled because they are not suitable or do not fit.  We will not charge additional postage for sending you an item in exchange.
